DF024

DFRobot Gravity (SEN0161): The analogue pH meter is specifically designed to measure the pH of the solution and reflect the acidity or alkalinity. The DFRobot ph sensor is commonly used in various applications such as aquaponics, aquaculture and environmental water testing. The pH is a value that measures acidity or alkalinity.

What is pH?

"pH" is a measure of the concentration of hydrogen ions [H3O+] in the body. The full scale of pH ranges from 1 to 14, with 7 being considered neutral. A pH below 7 is said to be acidic, and solutions with a pH above 7 are alkaline or alkalinising".

Do you want to measure water quality...?

and other parameters but don't have a cheap pH meter? Is it difficult to use with an Arduino? DFRobot is an analogue pH meter designed specifically for Arduino controllers with a convenient and practical "Gravity" connector and many functions. Instantly connect the probe to your Arduino and get a pH measurement with an accuracy of ±0.1 pH (25℃). For most hobbyists, the high accuracy range and low price make it a great tool for biorobotics and other projects. It features an LED that serves as a power indicator, a BNC connector and a PH2.0 sensor interface. To use it, simply connect the pH sensor via the BND connector and connect the PH2.0 interface to the analogue input port of any Arduino controller. If programmed, the pH value can be easily detected. It comes in a compact plastic case with foam for better mobile storage.

Build your own pH meter or pond water monitoring station. This and our other water sensing devices can be the perfect water monitoring device. Use it for aquaponics, aquarium or anything else that needs measuring.

Note: This is a laboratory probe which should not be immersed in liquid for too long.

We have in our offer also the updated version of the ph meter V2, which greatly improves the accuracy and user experience.

Attention:

  • The BNC connector and signal conversion board should be kept dry and clean, otherwise it will affect the input impedance, resulting in inaccurate measurement. If it is wet, it needs to be dried.
  • The signal conversion board cannot be placed directly on a wet or semi-conducting surface, otherwise it will affect the input impedance, resulting in inaccurate measurement. It is recommended to use the nylon pillar to fix the signal conversion board, leave a certain distance between the signal conversion board and the surface.
  • The sensitive glass bubble in the head of the pH probe should avoid contact with the hard material. Any damage or scratches will cause the electrode to fail.
  • After completing the measurement, disconnect the pH probe from the signal conversion board. The probe of the analogue pH sensor must not be connected to the signal conversion board without the power supply for a long time.
  • Under standard thermodynamic conditions, pH=7, means the solution is neutral; pH<7, means the solution is acidic; pH>7, means the solution is alkaline.
