Fingerprint Readers

"Fingerprint Reader" - How can we increase the security of protecting our valuable property? One method is to use biometric devices, such as a fingerprint reader, which until recently was only found in forensic medicine to help identify suspected criminals, and which is now also used to secure property. How does the fingerprint reader work?  In the fingerprint scanner, a system of properly arranged LEDs sends light to a glass, plastic or transparent surface, on which a finger is pressed. The quality of the fingerprint can vary with each application, depending on the degree of contamination of the finger, the test surface of the fingerprint or the colour and intensity of the light in the immediate vicinity of the reader. The light emitted by the LEDs is reflected on the surface of the fingerprint scanner and is received by an image sensor based on CCD or CMOS technology.

Capacitive Fingerprint Scanner - UART (AD-013) - OBSOLETE

This fingeprint scanner from ADH-Tech combines a highly precise fingerprint sensor module with an onboard MCU and UART interface enabling trivially very connection to any project.

The scanner independently reads and analyses the fingerprint thanks to an MCU algorithm that can send a converted digital signal to a peripheral serial interface for a data read. The onboard MCU algorithm enables operations such as for example a fingerprint enroll.
