Charger for 1-cell lithium-polymer batteries with a nominal voltage of 3.7 V and lithium-ion batteries. The chip is powered via a USB plug, which can be connected directly to a computer socket or a power supply.

In the case of a battery pack, the BMS (Battery Management System) balancing protection circuit allows charging and discharging to be individually controlled. That is, the circuit controls that all cells are charged and discharged at approximately the same voltage. The current during charging should be limited, because the cell will "absorb" the current given to it, but a higher current than the one established by the manufacturer (generally a safe current is 1C ) can cause the cell to overheat and, in extreme cases, explode. The same relationship also applies to discharge.
