TCRT5000 - optical reflective sensor that has a compact construction where the light emitter and receiver are placed in the same direction to detect the presence of an object using infrared reflection on the object. The working wavelength is 950nm.
The transmitter is infrared LED and the phototransistor receiver.
The sensor allows the detection of an object at a distance of up to 2.5cm from white paper and 1cm from person's finger.
When the tracking sensor detects reflection signals (white), the LED will be on. Otherwise, it will be off (black line).
When the infrared transmitter emits rays to a piece of paper, if the rays shine on a white surface, they will be reflected and received by the receiver, and pin S will output low level; If the rays encounter black lines, they will be absorbed, thus the receiver gets nothing, and pin S will output high level.
