Description of Filling compound Epoxy resin 149 high quality bi-component:

Epoxy resin is an encapsulating, two-component mixture. Cures at room temperature. Excellent electrical insulation and good adhesion to virtually all materials. Ideal for potting or filling gaps in heat-generating electronic components with metal enclosures or heat sinks. 

Epoxy resin is an excellent material with a wide range of applications:

  • for castings and covers to protect electrical components such as coils, transformers, capacitors, resistors, connectors, cable ends.
  • excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates.
  • good bonding strength even in adverse weather conditions.
  • Retains its properties at high temperatures.

NOTE! Filling compound 041 cannot be applied for filling and bonding parts with styroflex, as a contained modifier dissolves the polystyrene.

Characteristics of Filling compound Epoxy resin 149 high quality bi-component:

  • Manufacturer : TermoPasty,
  • Epoxy number: min. 0.480-0.510 mol/100g
  • Mixing ratio : 100:12,
  • Density : 1.16/cm3,
  • Pre crosslinking : 40-50 min,
  • Working temperature : >55ºC,
  • Viscosity at 25ºC : 2000-3000 mPa-s,
  • Liquid

Directions for use :

  • Clean the surfaces from mechanical impurities with an abrasive paper, then degrease (e.g. with acetone), in case of metals, apply a chemical etching in a suitably selected bath.
  • Mix the components thoroughly at room temperature, in the proportions provided. (Filler compound 049 - 100 parts by weight. Hardener - 12 parts by weight). Prepare small portions to be used in the following minutes.
  • Hardening of the Filler Compound 49 + Hardening at room temperature should be done in 7 days to obtain full mechanical strength and in 14 days to achieve chemical resistance

Applications :

Castings and covers to protect electrical components such as coils, transformers, capacitors, resistors, connectors and cable ends.

Contents :

  • One 100g jar of filling compound,
  • One 10g syringe of hardener.
