Description of Raspberry Pi Pico:

The first Raspberry microcontroller with the proprietary RP2040 chip and a dual-core Arm Cortex-M0+, the Foundation's cost-effective yet highly flexible solution. Designed for high performance and with a high degree of digital interfaces. Programming in C/ C++ and MicroPython.

Integrates its own DMA controller, 30-pin GPIO connectivity, 16 PWM channels and a USB 1.1 controller. Supports up to 16 MB of FLASH memory via its QSPI bus.

This part number has the pins pre-soldered.

All of this is integrated into the Raspberry Pi Pico PCB which provides the 2MB of Flash memory, along with a voltage regulator that supports voltages from 1.8 to 5.5v so it can be powered via USB or even batteries. It also includes a button that puts the board in USB storage mode to transfer data directly to it.

The new Raspberry Pi Pico board is programmable in C and MicroPython, which opens the door for many beginners, but also still provides a great service for more professionals. This board is adaptable to a wide range of applications and skill levels, and getting started is as easy as dragging and dropping a file

More experienced users can also take advantage of Raspberry Pi Pico's immense peripheral set, such as its SPI interface, I2C and eight programmable I/O (PIO) state machines for custom peripheral support.
