SparkFun 16x2 SerLCD - RGB on Black 3.3V

SP027

This little PCB piece is a great independent display addition to any project. Why independent? Well, it features an ATmega328P AVR on its back, making it a pretty much an UNO with a screen rather than a screen itself.

We have the same screen with a reverse color version, i.e. black on RGB with a reference of SP028

This little PCB piece is a great independent display addition to any project. Why independent? Well it features an ATmega328P AVR on its back, making it a pretty much an UNO with a screen rather than a screen itself. You can control the screen via microcontroller and through any of the protocols - serial, I2C or SPI. The firmware on the SerLCD is a good old opensource and can be custom changed to any of your potential needs.

Beware of the 3.3 logic level on the board as some of your SBC might have different levels and you might damage the controller on the screen

Features:

  • 16x2, RGB on Black Display
  • The AVR ATMega328p (with Arduino-compatible bootloader) is populated on the back of each LCD screen and handles all of the LCD control
  • Three communication options: Serial, I2C and SPI
  • Adjustable I2C address controlled via software special commands (0x72 default)
  • Emergency reset to factory settings (Jumper RX to GND on bootup)
  • Operational backspace character
  • Incoming buffer stores up to 80 characters
  • Pulse width modulation of backlight allows direct control of backlight brightness and current consumption
  • Pulse width modulation of contrast allows for software defined contrast amount.
  • User definable splash screen
  • Open-sourced firmware and Arduino-compatible bootloader enables updates via the Arduino IDE

WS2812 RGB 5050 Smart Addressable 5V Arduino compatible LED WS2811

WS2812 RGB 5050 Smart Addressable 5V Arduino LED WS2811 features:
- WS2812 are LEDs that have built-in logic, making it possible to vary the color of each LED individually
- WS2812 includes an integrated inside each LED, which allows access to each pixel individually. For this reason, these types of LEDs are individually indexable.
- They are based on the 5050 LED
- 24-bit color control (8-bit PWM per channel)
- 16.8 millions of colors per LED
- One-wire communication
- Power: max. 5 Vdc
- Current: 18.5mA
- Input and output terminals (data and power)
