Pimoroni pHAT Stack - Kit DIY description

Can't stand to run out of pins in your Raspberry Pi? You have a cool new accessory but there's no way to plug it in? If you answered yes to any of the above, then this pHAT could be just for you. This piece has 6 sets of 40 GPIOS - one for your Pi and the rest (5) for your collection of HATs that you might want to plug in at the same time. Use it for a specific project or just to play with several HATs at once.

Before you start building a configuration, it's important to check that the boards you're using are compatible with each other. Because there are a limited number of pins (40) on the Raspberry Pi, there is a chance that two or more HATs you are using will use the same pin. This kit includes rubber feet to keep the pHAT battery stable, and metal spacers to mount your HATs and pHATs securely more permanently. A black 40-way GPIO ribbon cable is also included.

Pimoroni pHAT Stack - Kit DIY features

  • Five sets of 2x20 pin headers (plus one to connect to your Pi)
  • HAT and pHAT mounting holes (M2.5) and labels
  • Handy pinout, including BCM numbers and descriptive labels

Notes:

  • Solder yourself and PCB only kits require soldering
  • When using HATs, be careful not to short pins on components on the underside of the HATs. A couple of pieces of insulating tape on the underside of the board can protect against this.
