This FTDI breakout is a super small board with a standard FT232RL USB to serial IC circuit. The pinout fits FTDI cable making it compatible with any Arduino or Arduino compatible 5V boards.

The ADS1115 is an external 16-bit ADC + a built-in programmable gain amplifier (or PGA), which can be very useful for certain Arduino and ESP8266 projects.
