Converter Module RS485 a Transceiver TTL 485 Max485 5V PLC

This little board is great for any type of prototyping - enables troubleshooting and debugging of any board with voltage from 0 to 5.5V. The  board interprets the commands and sends them further via a proper protocol (ranging from UART through I2C up to HDD44780 LCD). The Pirate lets analyze as well the data sent back from the device to the computer terminal effectively allowing to decipher potential errors. The bootloader installed on the board enables the quick and easy update of firmware and changing the functionality of the board.

This board features PIC24FJ64 and FT232RL USB-to-serial chip enabling swift communication over the mini-B USB port. On the other end of the board 2x5 pin header is placed with detailed descriptions of each pin.

This converter has an internal DC / DC supply and a total isolation between the USB and the RS485 output and allows to establish a reliable and safe communication.
Its FT232RL component has excellent compatibility and a communication rate up to 3M for a maximum distance of 1.2 km. The RS485 output interface uses an optical coupler with high speed for an optical insulation of 1500V and a protection against lightning of 600W: these characteristics allow to protect the computer from the potential damage of static electricity, lightning, over voltages and ground faults. A multiplexer of this type actually only acts as a switch 16 to a 1.
The 4 digital pins are used to set high or low, (binary Y0-Y15) to determine which input pin is connected to pin "Z".

This bidirectional logic level converter can be used with normal series, I2C, SPI and other digital signals. It does not work with an analog signal.
It is very easy to use. The card must be powered from the two voltages (high and low voltage) used by the system.
