  • Flexible TPU Filaments

TPU filament is your number one when you need a flexible and elastic solution. Its superior mechanical properties and ease of printing almost comparable to PLA make it one of the most popular filaments in the market. It is highly durable, highly flexible and elastic. It doesn´t require hot bed, however one is recommended. One of the possible disadvantages of TPU is its relatively slow printing time (up to 30mm/s).

  • Nylon filaments

Nylon is one of the most popular polymers in the world. Due to its superior durability and high mechanical resistance together with relative flexibility it is used as a textile material in a general industry, but as well for plenty of more specialized applications such as automotive and industrial machines parts and components. In 3D printing Nylon is quite a difficult material due to its relatively high printing temperature (220-270 C), that in some cases requires enclosed printer and full metal hotends. Nonetheless, its properties definitely make Nylon filaments worth the effort. To learn more about specific filaments check out our entry in blog about filaments

  • PVA filaments

PVA filaments are commonly used as a support material for any kind of print. As they are water dissolvent, they make cleaning the finalized project much easier than with any other material. You only have to clean it with water and you are done. No more cutting the material out of cavities. One very important thing for PVA filaments is to keep them isolated - its hygroscopy, which is one of the key advantages in use, can be very detrimental for the filament if not stores properly. • HIPS filaments

HIPS filaments are so-called support filaments - that is, you can use them to fill cavities in more complex projects and then cut them out or clean them out when you are done with printing. HIPS is solvable in limonene (lemon solution), which makes it perfectly compatible with ABS, however is of limited use for any other standard material as they can be damaged by limonene. • Fibersilk Metallic Filament

FiberSilk Metallic is the effect of the hard work of the Fiberlogy team. Their goal has been to create a high quality product that combines exceptional appearance, high strength and ease of printing. FiberSilk Metallic offers exceptional aesthetic properties. They are characterised by a silky metallic shine that highlights every detail of the 3D model and all its folds and curves. Fiberlogy has a wide range of vivid colours, allowing each user to find the one that best suits his or her needs.

The metallic finish makes it easy to mask the boundaries between the layers, making the entire print more uniform and distinctive. Apart from its visual advantages, FiberSilk Metallic also offers greater strength than e.g. PLA. Thanks, among other things, to the high adhesion of the layer, it is able to withstand heavy loads without cracking and subsequently return to its original shape. The filament is both simple and safe to print. For best results with FiberSilk Metallic we recommend that you set a high airflow during printing and reduce its speed. Solectroshop is the official distributor of Fiberlogy.
